CGI - Children Growing in God's Image

CGI is designed to encourage children to grow in their personal walks with God and their ability to make disciples! Kids will learn from God’s Word, the Bible, each week through exciting lessons, group discussions, and hands-on activities. Leaders will teach children doctrinal truths and application helps as they share the next step children can take in their fellowship with God. Each child will have the opportunity to engage in small-group discussion time with a godly mentor to converse about the night’s lesson, Scripture memory, and real-life struggles the child might be dealing with.

CGI comes alongside children who have already made a profession of faith in Christ, or who have shown a consistently teachable spirit, to challenge them to be faithful, knowledgeable children of God.

Children in the 1st and 2nd grades will listen to gospel messages, learn about the important attributes of God, and discuss the importance of growing in God’s image.

Children in the 3rd through 6th grades will take each week’s teachings home in the form of a “Faith-in-Action” sheet, which allows them to write about what they have learned, record their daily time in God’s Word throughout that week on a devotional chart, and memorize verses correlating with the week’s lesson.

CGI meets on Sunday nights from 5:50 to 7:15 pm during the regular evening service. For more information on the CGI program, contact Pastor Billy Peters.
